Winning a Photo Contest

1. Stay on point and to the topic

2. Understand the “rules of photography” and how/when to break them

3. Make sure your photo is technically correct (good exposure, good focus (not blurry), nicely composed)

4. Keep it simple. Make it easy for the judges to see the point, story, subject of your photo.

5. Have some style – create a photograph that the judges will remember, not an ordinary snapshot.
