Photo Contest
Welcome to the NickerTown Photo Contest a photo submission contest that is open to residents of the continental United States.

We are currently accepting photos in the contest, and while the NickerTown site is focused on horses and horsemanship, don’t feel limited in the content of your photos (within reason and within the rules of the contest). Photos that show horses, people (especially people with horses), tack, barns, trails, "the country life", 4H, FFA, State or County Fairs, are strongly encouraged!

We hope you enjoy the contest and can’t wait to see your creativity!

Prizes
NickerTown will award a monthly prize, as well as a “Photo of the Year”, selected from photos submitted during the monthly photo contests at NickerTown.  We hope to provide more and bigger prizes as more entrants participate. The winning photos will be selected by the staff of NickerTown.

Monthly winners will receive:
Choice of a $25 gift card from Amazon–  or – a $25 cash (paid via paypal)

Photo of the Year:
A photo will be selected from all submitted photos during the year and will receive a Custom Made belt buckle.

Rules
Entries must be submitted online as JPEG files in accordance with file upload instructions as detailed below:

·         JPG in RGB or Grayscale format

·         File size up to 800 KB  (you may want to resize your photo to 800px on its longest side)

·         Must not objectionable or inappropriate (see below)
 

The contest is run on a monthly basis, with the date and time originating from the US Central time zone beginning on the first day of the month and ending on the last day of the month.

Entries must be received before midnight Central US time on the last day of the month in order to be eligible for the contest.

We take copyrights VERY seriously. Only photos or graphics taken or created by the participant are eligible. All entries must be original works, created solely by the entrant. By entering this contest, the entrant warrants that their entries are their own original works, with full copyright owned by the entrant. If a dispute arises regarding the copyright of a photo or submission, the submission will be removed until proof of copyright is received by NickerTown.

The copyright of entries remains with the entrant.

By entering this contest, entrants are giving permission for their photographs to be displayed on www.NickerTown.com for the purposes of online voting and judging, related to submissions, and for display of winning entries, promotion, and/or reporting of the contest. Submitted photos may be used by NickerTown in advertisements that promote NickerTown.com and the NickerTown Photo Contest.

Entrant acknowledges that they have sufficient permission of any and all recognizable models or other persons appearing in the photograph to be able to grant to NickerTown the right to publish their photographic submission online at www.NickerTown.com and in advertisements created by NickerTown and hereby grants to NickerTown such right.

Entries considered not complying with the rules and conditions of the contest, or in the judging panel's discretion, is inappropriate or offensive will be disqualified and removed from website without explanation. Inappropriate or offensive material may include (but not limited to) pornography, sexual performance, derogatory or inflammatory subjects.

NickerTown, PhotoBlast, EZ Actions, or any agent, employee, or representative involved with managing or operating this contest or the NickerTown.com web site will not be liable for any omission, loss, damage, delay, illegibility, alteration of, or unauthorized access to entries submitted, nor for loss or injury to any entrant or entrant's property (including the equipment, systems or data of entrants or others) due to participating in the contest, visiting any related web sites or any prize awarded.

If the contest cannot be run as planned for any reason, including computer viruses, tampering, technical or other problems which damage its operation or integrity, NickerTown and/or its appointed judges reserve the right to cancel, delay, modify, or completely discontinue the contest at their sole discretion.

Taxes, if any, on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prize winners.

The winners will be notified by email, at the email address provided on the winner’s registration. While every reasonable effort will be made to contact contest winners, NickerTown is not responsible should prizes go unclaimed.

These rules can and will be changed on an as needed basis at the discretion of NickerTown. The contest prizes, rules and conditions are subject to change without prior notice to any or all contestants.

This contest is void where prohibited by law.
